Darlene is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters Degree who supports adults navigating substance use, caregiver burnout, mental health concerns, stress, family and relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental, grounded in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and the belief that people are the experts in their own lives.
She draws from Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, CBT, and DBT to meet each person where they are and support changes that feel meaningful and realistic.
Darlene is of Anishinaabe, French, Irish, and Scottish ancestry and is reconnecting with Anishinaabe teachings, language, and ceremony. She approaches this journey with humility and gratitude for the Elders, Knowledge Keepers, teachers, and community members who share their knowledge with her. This ongoing learning informs her commitment to culturally humble, relational, and anti-oppressive practice and to creating a space where clients can speak openly without shame, judgment, or pressure.
