Susan is a Registered Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience working in mental health and addiction with adults and youth.
Susan has an Hons. Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies from the University of Toronto and Masters of Social Work from the University of Windsor. She is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers. Susan draws her clinical experience from working in community mental health services and in-patient and emergency care at Northumberland Hills Hospital for the past 10 years. In her work Susan provides crisis services, individual and group therapy for stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, relationship and/or family issues, support to people with cancer and other life-limiting health diagnoses.
Susan provides a non-judgmental and supportive environment with the goal of creating a therapeutic and healing space. Susan has a integrative therapy approach blending elements from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness directed by your needs and goals.
