Michelle is a Nurse Practitioner & specializes in the areas of Gender Affirming Health Care, Women's Health (including Hormone & Bioidentical Hormone Therapy), Child & Youth Psychiatry including working with children with special needs such as Autism/Dual Diagnosis, as well as Psychiatric assessment, diagnosis & treatment for a number of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder & ADHD in children & youth. ​

Michelle Hermans is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with more than 15 years of experience supporting diverse client populations and is passionate about working with youth and young adults.
Michelle brings clinical experience from Sick Kids Hospital and the Canadian Mental Health Association where she supported youth and families experiencing chronic illness, grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, ADD/ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Michelle is an advocate for marginalized populations, specifically for the trans and gender diverse community. As such, Michelle has received extensive training and provides gender affirming care to clients of all ages, supporting people with gender identity, hormone replacement therapy, referrals and surgical assessments.
Michelle is a caring and compassionate Nurse Practitioner who actively integrates evidence-based techniques to support her clients from an anti-oppressive and client-centered practice lens. Her clinical practice draws on various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness with the ultimate goal of helping her clients achieve positive coping skills and better health and wellbeing.
